About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Liaison Officer to join our team at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of physical, relational, and procedural security within our medium secure mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of security policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
  • Provide advice and guidance to staff on security-related issues and contribute to the wider risk management strategy.
  • Act as a role model for staff and service users, promoting a positive and respectful culture within the organization.
  • Assist with major incident planning and incident management, working closely with the Risk and Security team and other stakeholders.
  • Work rotational shifts as required to meet the needs of the service.
