We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Systems Advisor to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Quality Systems Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of our quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including quality customer reports and libraries.
- Lead the identification and highlighting of due dates for departmental documentation, including risk assessments, company/site-specific procedures, calibration certificates, and forms.
- Assist in conducting internal audits across group sites in accordance with an agreed schedule.
- Travel to other sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays, to conduct audits and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Champion and promote quality culture plans across our sites, developing this area to its full potential with the quality team.
- Update the group quality non-conformance action log and support operational teams in closing actions within set timescales.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of the company's quality policies and procedures among the quality team.
- Encourage and support a root cause and continuous improvement approach.
- Review and maintain the accuracy of records, editing as necessary to ensure they are up-to-date.
- Collate information for monthly/quarterly KPIs.
- Monitor and track the budget for the quality team.
- Register third-party accreditations (BRC, ISO) and report on any resulting actions with support from the quality team.
- Proven experience in conducting internal audits, ideally with BRC or ISO experience.
- Additional qualifications such as food hygiene, HACCP, or internal auditing are advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work to deadlines and as part of a team.
- Strong strategic focus and continuous improvement experience.
- Solution-driven and flexible approach to work.
- Proficiency in MS packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Additional qualifications such as food hygiene, HACCP, or internal auditing are highly desirable.
We offer a competitive salary range of £28,000-£32,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our contracted hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00, with flexibility required for location and audit timings. We also offer additional benefits, including a holiday purchasing scheme, retail discounts, and a strong culture of teamwork.
