Senior Finance Professional Opportunity

Zachary Daniels Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Professional to join our client's team as a Financial Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and grow your finance career with a renowned Liverpool retailer.

About the Role

As a senior finance professional, you will report directly to the Finance Director and take responsibility for managing the finance team within the company. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a medium-sized team and taking ownership of cash position, including reporting to the FD and Directors
  • Managing month and year-end processes, including production of Monthly Management Accounts with commentary
  • Assisting with the overall running of the finance department, working with third-party partners and managing pension plans
  • Performing bank reconciliation for UK and foreign currency accounts, setting up and processing electronic transfers, and producing pre-payments and accruals
  • Liaising with stakeholders, including sales team members, and taking ownership of audit relationships
  • Continuously improving systems, processes, and procedures, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency
  • Managing fixed asset registers and maintaining accurate financial records
Person Profile

We are looking for a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent) or someone at the final stages of qualification. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious and career-driven individual with high personal integrity and motivation. They will also possess excellent personal presentation, communication, and character, with strong stakeholder management skills. First-class reporting ability, including good knowledge of financial systems, is also essential.

Package
