Howdens Joinery is seeking a skilled administrative professional to become a vital part of our dynamic engineering division. This position is based in Howden, East Yorkshire, and reports directly to the Head of Maintenance.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who will assist with various administrative tasks, including purchase order management, budget oversight, and payroll processing for the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Group Head of Maintenance and the engineering team.
- Daily management and input of data into a time and attendance tracking system.
- Ensure accurate handling of key employee lifecycle events, such as:
- Onboarding and offboarding administration
- Absence tracking and management
- Generation and analysis of payroll-related reports, including exceptions and KPIs
- Oversight and reconciliation of third-party payments
- Budget management for the team
- Processing of purchase orders
- Administration and reporting for various projects
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in payroll administration.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize daily tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- A customer-focused mindset with a positive and adaptable approach, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
