Role Overview
As a Proposals Engineer at Zeeco Europe, you will be instrumental in crafting multidisciplinary proposals that merge technical and commercial elements. While experience in a similar capacity is advantageous, we are eager to consider candidates with a robust engineering foundation and a commitment to delivering outstanding results.
This position is primarily office-based but includes opportunities for international travel, mainly within the EMEAR region, to engage with clients and partake in technical and commercial discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Analysis: Evaluate and interpret customer inquiries and specifications to design and specify suitable equipment.
- Process Design: Acquire a comprehensive understanding of process design and calculations, with training provided.
- Proposal Development: Create competitive technical and commercial proposals that meet customer needs and project scope.
- Customer Engagement: Maintain communication with clients throughout the quotation process, addressing technical and commercial inquiries to secure orders.
- Post-Order Support: Work alongside the project execution team, preparing process data sheets and assisting the drafting team as necessary.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of sales presentations and documentation using MS Office and other software tools.
- Quality and Safety: Comply with Zeeco's quality management systems (ISO9001:2015, ISO14001, ISO45001) and advocate for a safe working environment.
Candidate Profile:
- Educational Qualifications: Minimum HND or equivalent in engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical, or a related discipline).
- Industry Experience: Over 5 years in sales/proposals or a related field, with familiarity in fired combustion equipment or process knowledge being beneficial.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Attention to Detail: Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Decision-Making: Confident and capable of making independent decisions.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to Travel: Open to international travel as necessary.
