About the Role

The North West School of Radiology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiologist to lead our Interventional Radiology Simulation Suite at Aintree University Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement simulation education programs for postgraduate doctors in training and multi-professional groups.
  • Collaborate with the School and NW Imaging Academies to champion interventional radiology simulation education across the North West.
  • Work with the TPD for IR to ensure the successful delivery of the Academy's objectives.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guides for trainers and trainees.
  • Contribute to teaching and room induction with NW School of Radiology trainees.
  • Ensure the simulation suite is well-maintained and equipped with the necessary resources.
Requirements
  • Consultant in Interventional Radiology on the Specialist Register.
  • Membership or Fellowship of The Royal College of Radiologists.
  • Consultant currently working in NHS in North-West England.
  • Minimum 2 years post CCT.
  • Formal educational qualification PGCert/FHEA Accreditation or equivalent educational experience.
  • Experience of organising and delivering education programs in Clinical Radiology.
  • Experience of creating online and in-person teaching materials.
  • Previous or current appointment as an Educational Supervisor.
