About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Principal Highways Engineer to join our dynamic team in Ramboll. As a key member of our Highways team, you will be responsible for leading design packages and projects, engaging with other disciplines, clients, and site teams, and working collaboratively to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead design teams to deliver work packages and projects, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to industry standards.
  • Drive innovation and growth within the team, mentoring junior members to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Design and project management, with a focus on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Act as a highways technical lead on design tasks and packages, providing expert guidance and support to the team.
  • Undertake financial arrangements for projects, including fee forecasting and change control, to ensure effective project management.
  • Apply and promote policies relating to Sustainability and Health and Safety, ensuring a safe and environmentally responsible working environment.
  • Establish relationships with individuals from other organisations, generate market intelligence, and identify new business opportunities to drive growth and success.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Principal Highways Engineer with a strong background in highways design and project management. You will have a good working knowledge of highways design guidance, the DMRB, and MCHW, and experience in the delivery of Local Authority and/or National Highways projects. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
