About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Sheffield. As a key member of our Building Services department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design solutions for a wide range of projects, from small sites to multimillion-pound schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead complex electrical design projects, providing technical expertise and support to the team.
  2. Develop and implement QA procedures, ensuring project design review and adherence to industry standards.
  3. Predict and plan future resources, including setting up new projects and managing budgets.
  4. Meet deadlines, monitor budgets, and control expenditure to meet financial targets.
  5. Contribute to the development and implementation of plans for the longer-term benefit to the business.
  6. Identify, control, and monitor variations, negotiating and defining additional scope, fee, and timescales as necessary.
  7. Assist with the recruitment, appraisal, performance, development, morale, and motivation of specified staff.
  8. Contribute to the setting of budgets and achieving financial targets in specified areas.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 8 years' experience in electrical design engineering.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  3. Chartered Engineering status or willingness to work towards chartership.
  4. Proven experience in electrical design engineering, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
  5. Proficient in relevant software and tools for electrical design and project management.
  6. A friendly, ambitious, and confident individual with a flexible and resilient approach.
