HFG Insurance Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Underwriting Engagement Manager to lead our client's growing team in the Lloyd's Reinsurance sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Pricing team to ensure premiums are set based on risk and market conditions.
- Monitor and analyze claims data to identify trends and provide recommendations for underwriting improvements.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments, market trends, and regulatory changes related to Terrorism insurance.
- Provide training and guidance to junior underwriters and support staff on technical aspects of Terrorism underwriting.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with reinsurers, brokers, and other stakeholders in the Terrorism insurance market.
- Assist in the development and implementation of underwriting guidelines and policies to enhance the profitability and sustainability of the Terrorism portfolio.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and working groups to stay informed about emerging risks and best practices in Terrorism underwriting.
- Conduct regular reviews of underwriting practices and procedures to ensure compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the Terrorism insurance market and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
- Support the Head of Underwriting in strategic decision-making and long-term planning for the Terrorism portfolio.
This role requires a strong technical background in direct/reinsurance UK commercial property underwriting, with a focus on managing stakeholders and dealing with renewals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical reinsurance background, as well as direct experience.
