We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Long Term Teaching Assistant to join our team at Workingmums. As a Long Term Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children in a Special School setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic and emotional support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Special School setting.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and other school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and contributing to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience working with children with SEN in a Special School setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other school staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Highly organized and able to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
