Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Volunteer Engagement and Activities Youth Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in engaging with and supporting young people, helping them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging activities and programmes for young people, promoting their social, emotional, and physical well-being.
  • Build positive relationships with young people, providing guidance and support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective delivery of youth services, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of youth policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with the needs and aspirations of young people.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in youth work.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with young people, preferably in a youth work or related setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people and colleagues alike.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of young people and the organisation.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion, with a willingness to challenge and address any barriers or inequalities that may arise.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance and two satisfactory references required.
