Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Lead Project Surveyor to join our client's team, a prominent consultancy offering exceptional services in surveying, engineering, project management, and fire safety throughout England and Wales.

Role Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will engage in both advisory and consultancy roles, with a significant focus on project management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing multiple projects, serving as either the contract administrator or the lead consultant/project manager.
  • Conducting essential building surveying tasks such as defect analysis, maintenance scheduling, landlord-tenant negotiations, reinstatement cost evaluations, and party wall consultations.

Team Leadership:
Depending on experience, there is an opportunity to lead a team of four surveyors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Project Scope:
This role encompasses national projects, primarily in England and Wales, with a focus on London and the Southeast. Projects typically range in value from approximately £500K to £6M, including:

  • Exterior renovation contracts
  • Internal common area improvements
  • Private refurbishment initiatives
  • Major façade remediation projects

Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of four years' experience in Building Surveying. Familiarity with various contract types, including NEC, and experience with diverse procurement methods are advantageous. Strong leadership skills are essential for effectively managing project teams.
