Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Regional Registered Nurse to join our team, supporting our care homes in Southall and West Drayton. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in care, with expertise in areas such as basic life support, catheter care, and end-of-life care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Nurse/Manager in assessing, implementing, and evaluating resident care, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained.
- Take leadership roles in motivating staff to achieve a high standard of care, carrying out necessary skills, and providing direction and support.
- Maintain effective communication, making accurate reports on residents, and informing the senior care team of day-to-day changes.
- Ensure care procedures are carried out according to policy, and that there is adequate staff cover in the absence of the Manager.
- Be responsible for the ordering, administration, and recording of medicines according to policy and statutory requirements.
- Provide personal care for residents, including washing, dressing, and toileting, as well as physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort.
- Deputise for the Manager, carry out staff supervision and appraisals, and implement changes in routine and procedures as agreed with the Manager.
- Assist with the recruitment and selection process of new staff, carry out staff induction programs, and participate in internal quality audits.
- Promote and maintain the good reputation of the home, comply with legislative standards, and assist the Manager in working within agreed budgets.
