Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality clinical services to our patients and their families.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology and a proven track record of delivering effective psychological interventions. You will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with complex mental health needs, as well as providing supervision and guidance to junior staff members.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with complex mental health needs and develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Supervision and Guidance: Provide supervision and guidance to junior staff members, including psychologists and other mental health professionals.
  • Service Development: Contribute to the development of our clinical services, including the design and implementation of new programs and initiatives.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including the development and implementation of quality improvement projects.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
Requirements
  • Education: Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist, with a strong background in assessment and treatment of complex mental health needs.
  • Skills: Strong assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to work with patients with complex mental health needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
