Interventional Radiology Theatre Assistant

Position Overview
The selected individual will have the unique opportunity to join the growing interventional radiology team at the Kent Interventional Radiology Centre. This role is pivotal in contributing to the establishment of a Centre of Excellence.
Under guidance, the incumbent will be an integral part of a vibrant Multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care within the Kent Interventional Radiology Centre. Responsibilities will include participation in Theatre and Day Case Unit operations, as directed by senior personnel.
Upon completion of necessary training, you will support the qualified theatre staff in providing direct patient care within the operating theatre by taking on the responsibilities of the circulating practitioner during surgical interventions. Additionally, you may receive training to assist in the Day Case Unit, focusing on the recovery of patients and their care before and after procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Preparing and organizing instrument trolleys.
- Utilizing a scanning device linked to the h-trac operating system for equipment tracking.
- Facilitating patient transportation services within the KIRC, including the collection and return of patients to various wards and departments.
