At Currys, we're passionate about making technology accessible to everyone. As a key member of our Commercial function, you'll be working with one of our most exciting categories and top technology brands. Our Merchandising teams drive category performance by building strong relationships with suppliers and monitoring performance. You'll be instrumental in helping our Senior Category Merchandiser achieve category targets.

As an Assistant Category Merchandiser, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing close relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and our supply chain to ensure continuity of supply
  • Driving category performance by achieving key performance indicators (sales, stock, margin, and markdown)
  • Reviewing sales forecasts based on historical data, seasonal trends, and market trends
  • Monitoring weekly performance and making recommendations to ensure in-season plans are implemented and target availability is achieved across the store estate

You'll need:

  • Previous experience in Merchandising, preferably in consumer goods, technology, non-fashion, or a fashion-related sector
  • A relevant degree (or equivalent), e.g., Marketing, Merchandising, Retail, or Business
  • Knowledge of merchandise planning systems such as SAP, Compass Planning, or similar
  • Experience with business objects
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills
