Our client is a pioneering chemistry firm that collaborates with partners to convert innovative concepts in materials research into advanced products for sustainable technology and transportation.

With over two decades of groundbreaking chemistry and materials innovation, they excel in commercializing advanced materials.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an R&D Scientist with expertise in organic synthesis to become part of their vibrant team of scientists and industry professionals.

The Research Scientist will operate within a dynamic team setting, making this role ideal for a practical, motivated scientist with exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

The organization offers a competitive salary ranging from £38,000 to £48,000 based on experience, along with benefits including pension contributions, life insurance, income protection plans, and 25 days of annual leave.



Key Responsibilities of the Organic Synthesis Research Scientist:

- Design and implement research and development initiatives with a primary focus on organic synthesis and crosslinker synthesis, contributing to new product innovation.

- Demonstrated industry experience outside of academia in the realm of synthetic organic chemistry is essential, preferably within materials or polymers.

- Proficiency in polymer science, with a solid understanding of the correlation between chemical structure and physical characteristics, is crucial.

- Responsibilities include designing experiments, drafting reports, analyzing data, and presenting results to both internal and external stakeholders.

- Experience with coatings, films, resins, or dispersions is considered advantageous.
