About Our Team

AECOM's Renewables Team in Edinburgh is expanding, and we're seeking a Level 6 Apprentice Civil-Structural Technician to join our team. As a graduate civil apprentice, you'll work on different projects, providing civil support for various technologies, including on and offshore wind, solar PV, hydroelectric, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of consultancy services on renewable energy engineering projects.
  • Contribute to feasibility level studies for renewable energy projects.
  • Prepare technical reports and detailed design information.
What We Offer

As an AECOM apprentice, you'll receive on-the-job support and learning, paired with a senior member of the team. You'll also have access to our Apprentice ADVANCE program, which includes instructor-led training sessions and opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge.

Successful apprentices will gain a BSc or BEng civil engineering degree and have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, including design, construction, and site supervision. Our team is committed to delivering sustainable legacies for generations to come.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 120 UCAS points or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 'C/4' or above, including Mathematics & English.
  • Able to meet requirements for baseline security clearance in the UK.
  • Show an aptitude towards software-based engineering and drawing.
  • Demonstrate an interest in and a desire to pursue a career in Nuclear/Civil-Structural Engineering.
