**Job Summary**
Orchard Vale Community School, part of the Ventrus Multi Academy Trust, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide academic support to students on a fixed term maternity cover position.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Support Student Learning**: Collaborate with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, providing individualized support to students as needed.
- **Assist with Lesson Planning**: Contribute to the development of engaging lesson plans, setting up equipment and materials to facilitate student learning.
- **Provide Individualized Support**: Offer tailored support to students, including those with special educational needs, to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
- **Contribute to School Culture**: Help foster a supportive and inclusive school community, promoting a positive and respectful environment for all students and staff.
**Requirements**
- **Qualifications**: GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
- **Experience**: Proven experience working with children in a school setting.
- **Skills**: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
**Working Arrangements**
This is a fixed term position working 25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, with a salary of NJC Grade C - £23,500 - £24,294 FTE (pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked).
