Job Title: Road Logistics Account Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Road Logistics Account Manager to join our team in Basingstoke. As a key member of our Government & Defence Internal Account Management team, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and growing existing accounts in our Government client base.

Your Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing operational taskings for Government contracts from start to completion
  • Liaising with all relevant parties throughout the shipment to organise the movement of goods
  • Dealing with any issues that may arise during a shipment and ensuring the client is updated
  • Working with the customs department and customer to ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations and accordance with specific customer SOPs
  • Ensuring that all compliance and related trainings are up to date
  • Ensuring where necessary that all transit conditions for military rated items are adhered to
  • Processing sales and purchase invoices
  • Aiding in the completion of other departmental work to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the department as a whole
Your Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A solid understanding of freight forwarding processes
  • Strong customer service abilities
  • Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to handle pressure well and demonstrate good task management skills
  • Knowledge of how to work in a timely manner and with deadlines
  • A keen eye for accuracy and detail
