Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at oilandgas, a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy specializing in Offshore Energy Sector projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage and deliver projects from conception to completion, ensuring technical and financial success.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure project success.
  • Client Liaison: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Geotechnical Expertise: Provide technical leadership in geotechnical engineering, including soil-structure integration, jack up leg penetration assessment, and trenching assessments.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize software such as ArcGIS, Global Mapper, and proprietary geotechnical analysis tools like PLAXIS, GIS, and GRL WEAP.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology, or closely related subject, with further academic study or practical background in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on seabed infrastructure and offshore geotechnical design.
  • Skills: Strong working knowledge of ground investigation, geotechnical engineering, and geological processes, as well as excellent project management and leadership skills.
