About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at WSP Global Inc. in Newcastle. As an Associate Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in enhancing our capabilities and reputation in the geotechnical field.

As a member of our Geotechnical & Tunnels team, you will collaborate with talented professionals to work on iconic projects that drive future-ready outcomes for clients and communities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working on site investigations, feasibility studies, design and analyses, construction support, and dam operation
  • Developing dam safety management systems, including dam surveillance, safety reviews, and risk assessments
  • Providing technical advice to our diverse client portfolio over the full asset life cycle
  • Fostering and maintaining relationships from proposal preparation to managing financial and technical aspects of delivering small to large-scale projects
  • Undertaking and managing geotechnical investigation and design projects from proposal preparation to fieldwork, analysis, and reporting

We are looking for a candidate with a strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously and in a team environment. You should have a Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology degree and experience in geotechnical engineering/engineering geology. Postgraduate qualifications in a geotechnical-related field will be considered favorably.
