Mechanical Design Engineer for Spatial Computing

Snap Inc. is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of our cutting-edge Spectacles spatial computing platform.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in designing and bringing innovative hardware solutions to life.

  • Design Responsibilities:
    • Develop components, assemblies, and fixtures for Snap Spectacles.
    • Provide opto-mechanical solutions for alignment, testing, and calibration processes.
    • Conduct technical experiments to evaluate designs, materials, and technologies.
    • Create detailed parts, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks & Siemens NX software.
  • Collaboration and Manufacturing:
    • Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure seamless manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-tech environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD platforms, such as SolidWorks & Siemens NX.
  • Experience with design for high volume manufacturing and optical sub-assemblies is highly desirable.
