Job Title: SEN Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team at a Primary School in Gloucester.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engaging and tailored teaching to meet the diverse needs of all students, particularly those with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the national curriculum while catering to the unique learning needs of students with SEN.
  • Create a positive and structured classroom environment, using effective behaviour management strategies to encourage respect and learning.
  • Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Work closely with fellow teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning for all students.
  • Establish effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behaviour, and any concerns.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and knowledge of SEN.
Requirements:
  • Teaching qualification with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience in a UK primary school setting, particularly with SEN, is required.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year is desirable.
