Job Summary:

The Specialist Registrar in Cardiology will be responsible for providing comprehensive training in structural cardiac interventions, with a focus on TAVI and other complex procedures. The role will involve working closely with Consultant cardiologists to develop skills and expertise in a variety of cardiac interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive training in structural cardiac interventions, including TAVI and other complex procedures
  • Work closely with Consultant cardiologists to develop skills and expertise in a variety of cardiac interventions
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care, with a focus on structural cardiology
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Heart-Brain and mitral MDT teams to discuss patient management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the trust
Person Specification:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with the following qualifications and experience:

  • MBBS or equivalent
  • GMC registration
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • Evidence of higher specialist training in cardiology
  • Advanced life support training
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

We would welcome applications from individuals with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Higher degree (MD/PhD)
  • Experience of training and competency in interventional/structural cardiology
