Media and Engagement Manager Role

We are seeking a skilled Media and Engagement Manager to join our small but proactive communications team at the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC). The successful candidate will have a strong news sense and be able to react quickly to breaking news stories, while also being proactive in spotting opportunities to raise the profile of the OPCC at a national level.

The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail and be able to maintain accuracy and quality standards at all times. They will also be able to work proactively and independently, while adhering to corporate standards, protocols and processes, and be capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.

The Media and Engagement Manager will report to the Head of Communications and be responsible for supporting the Commissioner at events and visits. They will also be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, and it is essential that they have a current drivers' licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
