Position Overview
We are seeking a Lead Backend Engineer to join our Advertising Solutions team.

Your Role
As a Lead Backend Engineer within the Advertising Solutions team at SoundCloud, you will play a crucial role in developing our next-generation API platform for user experience applications. You will be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team that focuses on large-scale Scala microservices. Your contributions will be vital in modernizing our platform by integrating advanced technologies and methodologies, including Go and NodeJS/Typescript.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance service frameworks.
- Bring backend services to production with a focus on reliability.
- Demonstrate the tangible business impact of your engineering solutions.
- Collaborate closely with various teams to enhance infrastructure and address challenges.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proficiency in Scala, Java, or Go.
- A strong understanding of infrastructure challenges and a proactive approach to improvement.
- Experience in microservices architecture, automated testing, and continuous delivery.
- Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS or GCP, and technologies like Typescript, GraphQL, Kafka, and data processing pipelines is advantageous.
