Key Responsibilities:
As the Housekeeping Operations Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the housekeeping operations within the hostel.
  • Manage the operational budget and ensure the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Supervise and lead the housekeeping team.
  • Monitor and manage expenses related to housekeeping.
  • Ensure cleanliness across all areas, including guest rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces.
  • Plan staff schedules to align with guest occupancy levels.
  • Engage in various customer-facing tasks to provide exceptional service and enhance guest experiences.
  • Act as a deputy for the Hostel/Deputy Manager, ensuring smooth daily operations in their absence.

Required Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Flexibility to adapt to various shifts and responsibilities.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, preferably within the hospitality sector.
  • Proven background in housekeeping best practices and quality service delivery.
  • Desirable qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Customer Services, Hospitality, or Tourism.
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations, strong numeracy skills, and proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in team management.
