Position Overview:

In the role of Chief Game Design Architect, you will play a crucial part in the game development lifecycle. You will not only lead but also motivate a passionate team of designers to produce top-tier experiences for players. You will oversee the design process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop exceptional gameplay, while making strategic decisions informed by data and player insights. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a design team to implement game features and systems effectively.
  • Own the overarching design vision and ensure its realization across all aspects of the game.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and actionable designs by directing the design process and drafting design briefs.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to create tools and frameworks that enhance content creation and gameplay flow.
  • Identify and leverage data to fine-tune game mechanics and inform design choices, providing recommendations based on risk, scope, and value.
  • Supervise prototyping efforts, ensure consistent feedback, and support the development of new ideas within the studio's framework.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, growth, and interdisciplinary partnership within the design team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A strong passion for leading the design of ambitious projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully launching game titles in a leadership role.
  • Thorough understanding of game design principles with several years of experience as a game designer.
  • Deep commitment to creating outstanding experiences for players.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the game development process, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A fervor for realizing large-scale, ambitious projects across PC and console platforms.
  • Solid understanding of data and product management.
