Embark on a Culinary Journey with Aramark

Aramark UK is seeking an experienced and dedicated Sous Chef to join our esteemed team at Combermere Barracks, Windsor. This is a permanent and full-time opportunity to work alongside our Head Chef and support the team in maintaining exceptional kitchen standards.

As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, managing paperwork, and overseeing orders to meet client expectations. Aramark provides world-class contract catering services to a diverse range of clients across the UK, including Defence and Judicial, private industry, and Education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting food to meet required standards.
  • Monitor food production to ensure consistent quality and portion size.
  • Assist in maintaining a 5-star hygiene rating and adhering to relevant health and safety guidelines.
  • Contribute to stock control, stock ordering, and budgeting.

Requirements:

  • Good standards of culinary skills, presentation, and attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to step up to Head Chef when required.
  • Adherence to and maintenance of Health & Safety, EHO, and HACCP standards and procedures.
  • Understanding of stocktakes and GP%.
