About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Homeless / Ex Offender Support Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered support to our clients, helping them to resettle back into the community and achieve fulfilled lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tenancy-related support to homeless ex-offenders, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to identify and address their needs, developing personalized support plans to achieve their goals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of community-based initiatives, promoting social inclusion and reducing offending behavior.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including West Midlands Police and Probation Service, to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Participate in a rolling rota, including weekend and bank holiday shifts, and complete sleep-ins as required.
Requirements
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals, particularly ex-offenders and homeless people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages and maintaining accurate records.
  • A full driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
