Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Stockton-on-Tees. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging and effective lessons, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement lesson plans, adapting teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide individualized support to students with additional learning needs, utilizing your expertise to enhance their educational experience.
  • Supervise students during class and break times, maintaining a safe and respectful atmosphere.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of teaching materials, ensuring they align with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First Aid certification.
  • Additional training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) support.
Working Conditions:

This role involves working within a school environment, following school hours and term times. The candidate may also assist with extracurricular activities and events.
