Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to nursing and midwifery teams, ensuring alignment with the Trust's overall objectives.
  • Develop and implement innovative models of care that promote patient well-being and support individuals in remaining healthy and independent.
  • Champion a culture of safety and learning, driving improvements in patient outcomes and staff engagement.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the health and social care system to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimize resource utilization.
  • Lead and manage change initiatives, fostering a positive and supportive environment for staff development and growth.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven track record of success in senior nursing or midwifery leadership roles within the NHS.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change effectively in complex environments.
  • Strong financial acumen and business management skills.
  • Commitment to inclusion and diversity, fostering a welcoming and equitable workplace for all.
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in acute and community healthcare settings.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in nursing or healthcare management.
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies, such as the Royal College of Nursing (RCN).
