Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team as a Portfolio Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for independently managing a portfolio of clients, reviewing and signing off on company accounts, and providing guidance and support to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and sign off on company accounts prepared by junior team members, ensuring compliance with FRS102 and FRS105.
  • Review and sign off on company tax returns, identifying planning opportunities for our tax team.
  • Manage the compliance process throughout the year for your portfolio of clients, including self-assessment tax returns.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, ensuring effective workload management.
  • Lead new business calls and work towards growing your portfolio with the support of management.
Requirements
  • Professional Qualification: ACA or ACCA qualified is essential.
  • Experience: Ideally 2-3 years' post-qualified experience in practice, with prior experience independently managing a portfolio.
  • Technology: Experience with Xero, TaxCalc, and Excel would be a plus, but not essential provided you are able and willing to learn.
  • Personality: We are seeking an individual who can independently manage a portfolio and, in time, a small team. The ideal candidate should be independent, honest, personable, and friendly.
