Estimating Manager Job Description

At Rogers McHugh Recruitment, we are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to join our client's team in Halifax. As an Estimating Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing detailed, competitive cost estimates for fit-out and furnishing projects across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for fit-out and furnishing projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and requirements to deliver accurate pricing.
  • Source and negotiate prices with subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
  • Manage the tender process, ensuring the submission of high-quality, competitive bids.
  • Collaborate with design, project management, and procurement teams to ensure cost estimates align with the overall project strategy.
  • Present estimates and cost breakdowns to clients and senior management, justifying your approach and recommendations.
  • Continuously improve the estimating process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy across all projects.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in the fit-out industry.
  • Knowledge of key sectors (BTR, PRS, Co-Living, Hotels, and Student Accommodation).
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
