Headley Professional Recruitment is currently recruiting an Estimating Manager for our client in Halifax. The client is a leading interior fit out, fixtures, fitting and furniture installation company who work on projects across the UK. They create beautiful spaces for people to live, learn, work, and socialise in. They have extensive experience in designing and building interior spaces across several key sectors including student accommodation, private residential apartments, hotels, commercial offices, and public sector.

About the Role:

  1. To assist the Bid Department in securing projects/orders for the continued growth of the business. An integral, self-sufficient member of the bid team who is able to manage a team of estimators responsible for the successfully tendering, negotiating and securing orders for the business as well as managing client relationships to ensure future work.
  2. Management of the estimating team – Estimators and Graduate Estimators ensuring that all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
  3. Successfully manage your own time and that of the team to meet strict deadlines.
  4. Development of the estimating team including career progression planning and recruitment.
  5. Sign-off of outgoing tenders up to the value of circa £5m.

Requirements:

  1. Must hold a bachelor's degree in a Design or Engineering related subject or Quantity Surveying.
  2. Minimum 5 years' experience in an estimating role within a comparable organisation.
  3. Minimum 2 years' experience managing a team.
