We are seeking a Retail Store Leader to join our team on a temporary basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance in-store processes and promote donations and sales to optimize revenue.
  • Act as a representative of Mencap, ensuring that your actions align with our mission and values.
  • Focus on sourcing stock from local donors to support community engagement.
  • Encourage donors to participate in the Gift Aid scheme to maximize financial contributions.
  • Oversee profit targets by maximizing sales and managing costs effectively.
  • Maintain a high standard of store presentation at all times.
  • Build and nurture a strong volunteer team, providing training, development, and performance reviews.
  • Manage all financial transactions and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a supervisory or management role, with a proven ability to manage budgets and accurately complete financial reports.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • A willingness to travel for team meetings and training events.
