Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electromyography Assistant to join our team at Kootenay Lake Regional Hospital in Nelson, BC. As an Electromyography Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our medical team in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with EMG testing, ensuring accurate and efficient procedures.
  • Obtain patient information, enter data into the operating system, and perform related clerical duties.
  • Prioritize EMG requests and workload demands, ensuring timely patient appointments.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies, reporting any issues to the Professional Practice Leader.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities, providing feedback on work procedures and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Assist with orienting new staff, demonstrating work procedures and equipment use.
  • Report and document any unusual occurrences, adhering to established procedures.
  • Participate in safety in-service programs, maintaining a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
