Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Design Engineer to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As a Senior Controls Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the control scheme team and providing technical support to new colleagues. You will also be responsible for production and checking of functional design specifications and design intent documents, developing and designing schematics for control systems, and liaising with internal and external design engineers to provide complete solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to the control scheme team and support the development of new design engineers.
  • Design and Development: Produce and check functional design specifications and design intent documents, and develop and design schematics for control systems.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with internal and external design engineers to provide complete solutions and ensure compliance with customer technical specifications.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to allocated projects and attend internal and external design reviews.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in control design for power transmission and distribution.
  • Qualifications: HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering and/or experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Industry.
  • Skills: Good understanding of circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and general arrangement drawings on control and protection systems.
