Job Title: Control Room Adviser

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Control Room Adviser. As a key member of our Social Care Response Service, you will play a vital role in providing a 24-hour response service for vulnerable older people, people with physical disabilities, people with mental illness, or people with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing a 24-hour response service for vulnerable individuals, utilizing alarm call systems to ensure their independence in the community.
  • Provide a locally based mobile service to Sheltered Housing tenants when full-time Wardens are off duty.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective communication and support for service users.
  • Utilize computerized systems to input and retrieve data, demonstrating proficiency in computer/keyboard skills and written/oral communication.

Requirements:

  • Hold an SVQ 2 in Customer Care or higher and a Professional Development Award in Tele-healthcare or the ability to achieve this award.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of social work values, community care principles, and experience in assisting members of the public in stressful situations.
  • Exhibit good assessment skills, with the ability to understand and meet the needs of people living in the community while remaining sensitive, patient, and understanding.
  • Be non-judgmental, with a caring, pleasant, and professional approach, and possess good written/oral communication skills.
