Job Summary

Centre People Appointments is seeking a highly skilled IT Helpdesk Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on desktop support, including network and PC implementation and optimization.
  • Understand and develop detailed plans and designs for customers' networks and PCs.
  • Configure network/PC/desktop security elements, including day-to-day service delivery.
  • Migrate plans and execute support for PC and Call Centre systems (including DC servers).
  • Conduct proof of concept testing and acceptance testing.
  • Develop and implement new features and services.
  • Carefully consider profitable systems and implementation.
  • Document approaches for implementation and modification.
  • Visit customer premises when required for project or maintenance contract work.
  • Ad hoc requests from your line manager.

Requirements

  • Wide knowledge and proficiency in PC software, including Microsoft WIN 10/11, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, AD administration, virtualization, cloud (AWS, Azure), Office/Mailer, Switch/Router/IPT, and Firewall products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with Japanese proficiency ideal but not necessary.
  • Strong time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic, with accurate, organized, and attention to detail.
  • Reliable time keeping and attendance, with a solid administration background and a keenness to get involved and support all customer service areas in EMEA.

Working Conditions

  • Contract position with Centre People Appointments.
  • Up to £30,000 depending on experience.
  • All travel expenses reimbursed (with regulation).
