About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Scania (Great Britain) Limited. As a key member of our Health and Safety department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our vision of becoming the best in class for our industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Health and Safety in delivering our health and safety strategy and objectives.
  • Develop and review risk assessments and safe systems of work for our core operational activities and non-routine business.
  • Monitor our accident and incident reporting system, conducting investigations as required.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly statistic reports, presenting findings in the weekly health and safety update.
  • Monitor existing and new contractors, including their conduct and credentials.
  • Review, improve, and create health and safety processes and systems of work.
  • Consult and liaise with the workforce and senior management on health and safety matters.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH certified, ideally working towards your NEBOSH Diploma.
  • Organised, able to handle multiple objectives and track key action points.
  • Diligent, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator, able to present and communicate changes, statistics, processes, and updates to stakeholders.
  • IT literate, able to learn and manage internal health and safety systems.
  • Willing to travel, visiting and building relationships with our UK network.
