Nicholas Associates is seeking a highly skilled Mobile Plant Hydraulic Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our construction plant hire equipment to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all construction plant hire equipment to an extremely high standard, including diagnosing faults, servicing, and performing Predictive Diagnostic Inspections (PDIs) on site.
- Carry out breakdown repairs on construction plant machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Routine services on plant equipment, including diggers, dumpers, excavators, and loaders, to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Manage administration tasks and complete all paperwork accurately and on time, including warranty claims and maintenance records.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mobile Plant Engineer, Mechanic, Plant Fitter, or equivalent role.
- Strong knowledge of plant maintenance and repair, with a focus on hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to various sites.
- Experience working with a range of plant manufacturers, including JCB, Volvo, CAT, Bomag, Hamm, or Liebherr, is highly desirable.
