Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for assisting transport shift managers in directing and controlling resources to meet defined targets. This will involve working closely with senior transport controllers to manage and challenge drivers, ensuring timely and low-cost deliveries, and maintaining high customer service levels.
Key Responsibilities- Aid transport shift managers in directing and controlling resources to meet defined targets.
- Assist senior transport controllers in managing and challenging drivers at de-brief.
- Be fully conversant with all company rules, regulations, procedures, processes, and policies.
- Ensure timely and low-cost deliveries.
- Ensure customer service levels are met.
- Control vehicle maintenance.
- Ensure legal compliance of the transport operation.
- Promote an equal opportunities culture.
- Analyze statistical information.
- Use a methodical approach combined with attention to administrative detail.
- Lease with other sites within the same organization.
- Communicate with the planning team.
- Report defects daily.
As a Transport Clerk with Pertemps, you will enjoy a competitive hourly rate of £11.44ph, which equates to £23,795 per annum. You will also accrue holiday pay, be enrolled in an optional pension scheme, and receive Statutory Sick Pay if you are absent due to illness.
