This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital (RACH) team as a Matron for Children's Services. We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our Emergency Care team and contribute to the development of our Children's Services department.
Main Responsibilities- Provide leadership and direction to the Children's Emergency Department team, ensuring high-quality patient care and a safe and clean environment.
- Support the Directorate Lead Nurse in delivering key performance targets and ensuring the provision of effective professional nursing leadership.
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating competent and accountable clinical practice, and promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Consultant (emergency paediatrics) to ensure ongoing service development and delivery of exemplary care to children, young people, and their families.
- Lead the governance assurance framework for Children's Emergency and Ambulatory Care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Trust policies.
- Develop and implement educational and training programs for the designated teams, working in collaboration with the Practice Development teams.
- NMC registration
- Degree in nursing or related subject
- Post-registration study in a related subject
- Teaching and Assessing in clinical practice/mentorship module
- APLS/EPALS provider
- MSc level education - Acute care/emergency care/paediatrics
- APLS/EPLS instructor
