About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health & Safety Lead to spearhead the development and delivery of comprehensive health and safety programs across all ten NNUH premises. Reporting directly to the Hospital Management Board, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a robust risk management culture within our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Health & Safety team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and best practices.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies to minimize potential hazards within the hospital setting.
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Stay abreast of emerging health and safety trends and regulations, ensuring the team's knowledge base remains current.
Qualifications & Experience
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety.
- Chartered Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH).
- Extensive experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating a deep understanding of healthcare-specific health and safety requirements.
- Proven track record of successfully managing teams and delivering projects at a senior organizational level.
