We are seeking a skilled Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our team at First Bus Engineering. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of buses.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues with our buses.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including servicing and inspections.
- Attend to on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries.
- Conduct vehicle road testing to identify specific defects or issues.
- Develop and implement effective solutions to improve vehicle performance and efficiency.
- Minimum of a Level 3 NVQ standard qualification in Engineering.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical & Electrical Technician, preferably in a bus engineering environment.
- Full UK driving license.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including engines, gearboxes, and electrical systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to colleagues.
- Willingness to attend training courses and develop skills in new areas.
