About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Deputy General Manager to join our team at L'Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa in Jersey, part of Hand Picked Hotels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputise for the General Manager and assist with the day-to-day running of all Hotel operations, ensuring luxury 5-star service and standards are delivered.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop Head of Departments to achieve goals and future aspirations for the hotel.
  • Be an innovative individual with excellent leadership skills and a well-rounded knowledge of managing all hotel operations.
  • Have access to excellent Hand Picked training courses, including our Hand Picked Leadership program.

About You:

  • This role would suit candidates with a strong Luxury Hotel Food & Beverage background looking for the next step in their career.
  • It is essential you have an excellent understanding of food and beverage, rooms, and housekeeping, and have the ability to lead from the front when required.
  • You must have a proven track record of delivering consistency in a multi-outlet F&B operation, including a fine dining restaurant concept, bar, meetings, and events.
  • Be able to demonstrate a strong commercial acumen, ability to drive revenue, control costs, and GPs while seeking new revenue opportunities to increase sales.
  • Experience of planning, developing, and implementing new initiatives, capex, and projects.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of statutory obligations, health and safety, and HR policies.
  • Have previous exposure to delivering a high level of service and standards, achieving goals, and delivering on objectives to achieve a high-end seamless operation.
  • Be proficient in hotel software.

Our Benefits:

  • A competitive salary package of £53,000 per year, plus a share of service charge.
  • This is a Full-Time role working 5 days out of 7, including weekends on a rota basis, 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business needs.
