Long-term Teachers Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. This full-time permanent position offers a competitive salary of up to £22,700.

We provide a therapeutic and child-centered education to students with complex needs, including SEMH, autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties. As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers within the classroom environment, managing resources effectively, and facilitating engaging educational activities for our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to teachers in delivering lessons and implementing individualized learning plans.
  • Assist with classroom management, creating a positive and supportive learning atmosphere.
  • Prepare and organize teaching materials, ensuring resources are readily available for student use.
  • Facilitate educational activities and group work, encouraging student participation and engagement.
  • Contribute to the assessment of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in special education, including at least 1 year as an HLTA.
  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
