Security Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Security Officer to join our team at Gloucester Quays, a vibrant retail and leisure destination located at the historic Gloucester Docks. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our employees, tenants, and visitors.
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring CCTV, assisting guests, and providing top-notch customer service. You will also be involved in preventing and deterring unauthorized access to the site, conducting external and internal security patrols, and managing keys and security equipment.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.60, a 42-hour workweek, and free onsite parking. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic, customer-facing environment and work for a company that values integrity, vigilance, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor CCTV and respond to incidents as necessary
- Assist guests and provide top-notch customer service
- Conduct external and internal security patrols
- Manage keys and security equipment
- Issue visitor/contractor passes and deal with lost property
- Maintain logbooks and records
Requirements:
- Experience in retail, events, or roles involving interaction with the public
- Confident and vigilant
- Outstanding customer service skills
- 5-year checkable history (employment/education)
- Reasonable commuting distance
- SIA Licence and CCTV Licence (desirable training provided)
- A firm grasp of English, both written and spoken
